It is really hard to believe that we have completed 26 weeks and are flying through #27! This pregnancy is going crazy fast and seems to be going faster every day. I had my last on Tuesday and Charlie’s heartrate was about 150bpm. He/she even sat still for the midwife to check it, which is a first considering they usually have to play a chasing game it find it. Auntie Joy went to the appointment with us and got to see a woman in labor first hand. Boy did she look miserable! Seeing the pain on her face makes the next three months seem not long enough.
The baby is kicking with a ton force and is growing exponentially. At least that’s what I’m blaming the weight gain on these days.
So, Charlie is close to 2 lbs now and a little over a foot long. It can open and close its eyes and suck on its fingers.
As for me, a little swelling is starting to set in. I have been really trying to exercise several times a week and keep my feet up as much as possible. I know the great swelling is yet to come (I get it really bad!!!). It is totally awesome to get so fat and puffy! We are extremely blessed!
We do have another prayer request as far as the baby. At my 20 week ultrasound, they found a cyst on my placenta. The midwife seems to not be very concerned since it was sooo small, however, I do have to have another ultrasound in December to make sure that it has not grown and possibly compromising the baby’s blood flow.
